Tickets for events at The Van Buren can be purchased:

    at our Box Office located on 5th Avenue just south of Van Buren from 3pm-6pm Monday-Friday

The Van Buren is an 1,800 capacity concert venue located in Downtown Phoenix that has been open since August 2017 – focusing on bringing a wide array of nationally touring artists and community events to Phoenix.

We do not accept artist submissions, but you can take a look at one of our sister venues, Crescent Ballroom  or Valley Bar  if you are looking to book your band or a band you represent.

Where is The Van Buren located?
We are located in Downtown Phoenix, at 401 West Van Buren Street. We are easily accessible from the I-10 and 7th Ave or 7th Street.

Where should I Park?
Parking is limited in the Downtown area, meters are located on streets surrounding the venue, as well as paid lots. Our friends at Downtown Phoenix Inc have put together a great guide for parking and getting around our neighborhood, which can be found here.

Events at The Van Buren are general admission, standing room only unless otherwise noted. When purchasing tickets to a reserved event, a full seating chart is available with the option to choose your seat.

The Mezzanine is an elevated balcony type area featuring a private bar and excellent views of the stage.

Age limits are specified for each individual event. Below are guidelines for those under the posted age limit. Due to capacity restrictions set forth by the local jurisdiction, all patrons regardless of age are required to have a ticket.

21+ Event
Ages 13-20 must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian
Ages 12 and under are not admitted

18+ Event
Ages 13-17 must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian
Ages 12 and under not admitted

16+ Event
Ages 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian

13+ Events
Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian

All Ages
Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian

(Keep in mind priority number 1 is to HAVE FUN! Just please do it without the items listed below)

• No guns, knives, weapons, pepper spray, projectiles of any kind, or any other item that could be used to inflict harm.

• Replicas of any type of weapon are NOT permitted.

• No drugs or drug paraphernalia, illegal substances of any kind.

• No outside food or drinks 

• No personal video cameras, Go-Pros, selfie sticks, drones, masks or laser pointers.

• No professional audio, video, or audio recording equipment – (including detachable lenses, tripods, zooms or commercial use rigs) Without a photo pass

• No unsealed liquids or gels of any kind

• No jewelry or clothing that could inflict harm

• No large bags over (10” x 10”), backpacks, Camelbacks or Bota bags

• No stuffed animals or toys of any kind

**This list of prohibited items is subject to change at the discretion of venue management

Guests with special needs can call ahead to the Box Office to make us aware of the show and date that assistance will be needed. On the show day, please make our door or security staff aware of your needs and we will assist you in any way we can. At general admission shows we have a designated area for patrons with special needs and one companion. For reserved seated shows, guests with limited mobility should purchase tickets on the floor. Will call tickets can be picked up on day of show at the Box Office. Box Office opens 2 hours prior to door times. You will need a valid photo ID and the credit card used for purchase.

We encourage you to review our safety and security information below prior to arriving at the venue.

• Please arrive early to the venue to allow enough time for you and your guests to move through the queue and enter the venue.

• Prior to entering the venue, guests will be searched (wand or walk through metal detection and/or pat-downs) to ensure that none of the restricted items enters the building.

• We suggest you leave valuable and unnecessary items at home.

• You may be asked to empty your pockets of all items so that they can be examined.

• All alcohol and narcotic laws will be strictly enforced.

• All bags will be searched, and no large bags or backpacks will be allowed.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone. If you see something that concerns you, please say something to our Management or Security so we can ensure the best experience possible.

Zero Tolerance For Drug Use or Possession
The use or possession of any illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere inside or outside the venue. Security personnel and narcotics officers will be working and enforcing all drug related laws. Do not bring any illegal substances to the event as violators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. If you are found impaired at the door, security will not allow you to enter the venue. Event staff reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone. Please come with a smile and be prepared to enjoy a fun filled night of music and dancing.

Safety and Medical
The Van Buren is dedicated to providing a safe environment. Public and private security will be present throughout the entire event. Our Security Staff will be available to assist your needs including any medical requests.
